Hello, I bought a M3 recently and it came with FW 1.5, I tried updating it to FW 2.0 last night and it was stuck on 10% so I let it over night, I woke up and it was still on 10% (after 7 hours). I turned it off and now it won't start up and isn't recognized by my computer. Only shows a screen with a logo with some chinese symbols and "born for music & happy".
Any help?

Hi, please try with different cables and see if it could be recognized by the computer. If not, please contact support@fiio.net for warranty.

Cables or usb port dont change anything, it doesnt connect to the pc or start up... I wrote an email to support even before posting here, no answer though. Great! Again without music for who knows how long

Doesn't work :/ the player doesn't show up in the program

Well, I am bringing it back in store for warranty, I have 21 months of warranty, so I hope it should be covered and either I will get a new one or they'll fix it. I loved it, for the price and size, the sound was awesome!

Hello, I have the same issue. I did the update yesterday when i received the M3 and it freezed at 10% so i turned it off and now it isn't recognized by my computer and stay to the same screen like polmar explained. I tried your solution FiiOBryant but doesn't work neither.

Any other solution ?

For any M3 that has been bricked, please kindly contact your seller or support@fiio.net for warranty.

For anyone who is running on FW1.5 or 1.6, please don't upgrade it directly to 2.0. it will be bricked.
We have confirmed the issue and will try to solve this as soon as possible.

to upgrade to 2.0 you should upgrade to 1.7 or 1.9 and you can upgrade to 2.0 with no error

How to unbrick your fiio m3...
!!!On your own risk...!!!
!!!By opening the back panel you will lose your warranty.!!!
1. Download and unzip 2 archives from post 4
2. Open M3s back panel(just slide it towards the audio jack carefully, than open up).
3. Shorting 29-30 pin of memory chip, connect your player to usb. (Windows recognize your player as unknown device. )

4. Unshort 29-30 pin.
5. Go to "Device Manager", right click on "unknown device", "update driver" from "M3 firmware burning tool (with instruction)/driver". Wait for installation complete.
6. Read "Instruction of burning the M3 firmware.pdf"
7. Go to "M3 firmware burning tool (with instruction)/product/' and install 1.9 firmware using "MainApp.exe" and KSD_US212A_FIIO_M3_FW1.91_20170822.fw
